Is there a way to make Timeline A nested into Timeline B behave like a clip?

So that...
- any graphics in Timeline A stay where they are put, even if Timeline B is a different aspect
- any effects applied on to Timeline A nested are applied AFTER any effects within Timeline A
- any assets that are scaled up in Timeline A do not 'overflow' the bounds of Timeline A's resolution

Any help, insight or ideas would be highly appreciated!
