Unable to backup database

I have tried to backup my DaVinci Resolve database from the login screen to an external drive. I keep getting this message: ERROR Failed to backup database: Failed to back up database database04_19_21 to [my external drive]. Any help?

Try backing up to an internal drive and just copy it over.

thanks, Jim. I actually did just that. Just wondered why the backup option on the login page doesn't work. Always get nervous when something doesn't work as designed. Thanks!
