I have kind of a problem here. I need to color match several shots. Now when I turn on splitscreen (either neighbour clips, selected stills or whatever) the colors in the active clip are totally off. Not like none of my node edits show, but like some areas do not show what has been tweaked in the nodes. The moment I turn off split screen the grade seems to be ok...
I will. thanx. But I somehow have the feeling that I just dont do it right. What I want: my actual grade on one side, the still image from gallery on the other. It looks like some grade is applied on top of my actual grade... Then again with wipe mode everything is just fine...

Are you using an adjustment clip? The effect of an adjustment clip will not show in splitscreen. Splitscreen mode shows a clip as if the Unmix button was turned on (even if it's off).
Otherwise, I can't think of anything...
What workflow are you using? YRCM, RCM, ACES? Can you pinpoint which nodes and which operators are not showing up? Anything special about them? Shared nodes, ResolveFX?
I am using "DaVinci YRGB" (not "color managed") and Rec709 2.4 Timeline Space I have deleted OFX and turned a shared node into a normal one. That did not do the trick. Also there is no adjustment clip happening...
Colors are weird when viewing split screen "selected stills", "selected grades", "highlicht modes" "versions", "neighbour clips". "active playheads" show fine when only one playhead is defined. As soon as I define another one and show both together colors go boink...
I made screenshots so you can see what I mean. With images/clips side by side in split screen the grade has a corrupted qualifier key as it seems (original back is keyed via qualifier and CCed). With the two images/clips split in one window everything is just fine...

So basically, when you're in splitscreen, the correction on the keyed background is not appearing at all, as if the node were off? Or is it doing something?
I've tested whether my qualifier keys work when I'm in splitscreen mode and they seem to. But I'm on Resolve 16 at the post-facility. I'll check at home on Resolve 17.
it´s defintively showing some kind of grade in split screen mode. I made a test and created a serial node with a power window and cranked the offset up resulting in a white round spot. In split screen the spot was totally of the center and values nowhere in the area where I had put them. so it is showing something but nothing that resembles what is shown when split screen off...
I have a feeling all this has something to do with scaling. I have a external matte connected and while in split mode I find that the matted area has "wandered" somewhere else. So I do some tests and it seems as DR does not scale the external matte down when "squeezing" the clips/stills in split screen mode into one viewer window. So maybe all the "colors are off" is due to masks/qualifier keys not beeing shifted ord scaled correctly...
Meanwhile I did a full clean install of resolve (now in 7.2 before 7.1). With full flush of user prefs. Same behaviour.
Scaling being the culprit makes sense. In the past, I have seen some situations where the effect of a window would be offset from the window itself due to scaling issues. I've also seen external mattes not aligning properly when changing project or timeline resolution.
So if that´s true, what´s the bottom line here? I mean having footage grow bigger and bigger these days, one has to make some tweaks as to get playback fluid (with external mask, some qualifiers, magic masks in "better" quality...). Should I make proxies right from the start? Then again I would want to pull my keys from full size images. As it seems "Playback/Timeline Proxy Mode" is not to be used...
Im having a similar issue but happens when using RCM and in Davinci Wide Gamut, doesn't happen in sdr rec 709, here's a screenshot, no idea how to fix but have been using 709 to match clips for now

Reference image for grading is supposed to be on the right...

I would recommend working in "scale to fit" rather than "center crop no resizing." It seems Resolves internal scaling for power windows is accurate in this mode when in split screen.
I've been having the same issue for months. No updates have fixed it. I'm in contact with BMD tech support, but not having any luck yet. Did you find a solution to this?
This problem persists in 18.6.4. This is a critical bug. I've noticed this only happens with projects using "DaVinci YRGB Color Managed' Color Science. There is a gamma and colour space conversation step being missed when looking at Split Screen.
