What's the Best Fast Edit Drive Option?

I want to upgrade my editing drives to the fastest possible option. I know this could mean throttling the drive(S0 but I will be eventually upgrading everything. I currently use 2X4 Gig 7200 rpm drives in raid 0 (yes I know I know) and have had no problems for 3 years for light editing.

I have no problems editing 4K BRaw in Resolve but I recently got a P6K and I want to make the best upgrade possible for around $500. I use a gigabyte 450 series motherboard, a gtx 1070 gpu, and Ryzen 7 1700x with 32 gigs ram on Win10

I have readM.2 drives are superfast but I only have one slot in the MB that I'm am using for the C Drive

Thanks in advance for your advice.

A 4TB NVMe or 8 TB SATA SSD already exceed that budget. Not sure what else to suggest.

Yes it looks like I will have to spend some $$$...., Just wanted some opinions. Thanks!

My biggest project to date is 1TB in size so maybe 2TB NVMe using a pcie card.
Anyone here use SSD in raid config?

You could get a PCIe adapter card to take NVME drives.
