17.2 startup faster but slow opening projects

PostFri Jun 04, 2021 9:21 am

Some of my projects take about 2 to 4 minutes to load.
Currently have a project that was created on DR17, when I load the project it goes up to 99% in about 30seconds or so and then it decides to hangs at that point for as long as it wants to respond, as mentioned above sometimes is 2 minutes and sometimes is 4 minutes.

I can see that opening a blank project is very fast though.

Frustrating.
17.2.1 (Build 12) Starts up fast, but will then take minutes to load an existing project or create a new one. This was not the case with the previous 17 version.

Same here. But I had that also with version 17.1 as well. It takes 3-4 minutes to open an existing project.

Do you guys have a Speed Editor?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

So currently my Davinci starts very fast again. Some seconds and it is open. Downloaded the studio drivers for my Nvidia 2070 GTX.

And yes I have a Speed Editor but it is not connected currently, because I thought that causes that problem.
