sped up footage jerky. WHY?

I have some footage that Ive had to speed up a bit to sync to sound on a music video edit. seriously I only had to push it to 104% and the footage is now perfectly in sync but is jerky. Why? No other NLE Ive ever worked on made footage choppy when speeding up, its usually slowing down footage that will cause choppy/jerky footage. All the frames are there so why is it jerky and how do I fix it? BTW I tried both speeding up via speed change in the inspector window and changing frame rate from 24 to 25 fps in clip attributes but got the exact same result. When you speed up footage it shouldn't get choppy. How do I fix this bug?

It's not a bug. Of course speeding up footage can make it jerky. It depends on the footage and how much you speed it up.

The easiest fix is setting it to the right frame interpolation method in the project settings.
By default it's set to the fastest, which is also the worst, especially when not using whole numbers as in your case. If you are not happy with those settings, set the individual clip to Speed Warp in the Inspector. That's very good, but also very slow.
