Resolve Studio 17.2 and Silhouette 2021.0.1

I am running on a mac 11.3.1.
Have just installed newest version of Resolve Studio and Silhouette. It seems the new Silhouette plug-in in not compatible with Resolve 17.2. Resolve lists the new plug in but when I try to drop it onto a clip and open it in the OFX filters window, I get the following Error: "Requested version not supported (-6)." I am then taken to a licensing screen. I put in my activation code but I get the Requested version not supported error again. I had been working on the file with an earlier version of the Silhouette plug-in and I thought this might be the problem, so I reset the node in CC and tried dropping on the Silhouette plug-in. Same loop of error, license renewal, error.
Is anyone else having this issue? or can you suggest the source of the "user interface error"?
