Although I rendered the clips on the timeline, the text stays red (see image),
shouldn't this be blacK.


I have an audio issue as mentioned in a previous post today, is this related to one another?

That particular red line is just indicating that the Timeline Viewer is the currently active panel. Nothing to do with Cache.

The text is red because you have the Timeline viewer area selected, if you then click over at the Source viewer, that text will change to red.
