[Workspace] magnify interface on second monitor

PostSat May 15, 2021 7:44 am

Hello, Is there a way to magnify the menu fonts on 4k monitor?
I'm using a dual monitor setup with Full HD as a primary and a 4k as a second one.
I've set different magnify settings under the Windows display menu to display text at the same size on each. But I can't do it it with Resolve, the menu are too small on the 4k monitor and I just can't read anything.
Any suggestion?

(english is not my native language, apologize if there's some mistakes)

Display Scaling should always be set to 100%.

If things are too small, then you need physically larger monitors.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Unfortunately, Resolve doesn't respond to scaling properly. I haven't tried for a few versions, but it used to be that setting a scale of 200% would work.

Of course, that makes your 4k monitor effectively HD.

Why can't Microsoft solve that problem on the OS level after all those years of high-DPI screens around?
It's no problem at all on MacOS.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Since resolve 17 is win10 only, could Devs code a feature where Resolve GUI will check windows magnify settings on each monitors (for ex: My fullD is 125% and 4k is 225%) and apply it to fonts and picto of resolve's GUI?

I can understand this way of coding if you have to maintain compatibility between differents version of windows, not in the actual situation.
