Multicam angle disappeared *Resolved*

PostSun May 16, 2021 3:38 pm

After upgrading I opened an existing multicam project and the angle 2 footage has disappeared. The video clip is there, but it's all black. The audio is still there.

Anyone have any ideas why this happened?

What do you see if you open the Multicam in a timeline? Can you Match Frame the problem clip into the Source Viewer?

When I open the multicam from the timeline the source cam angle two video is also black. The issue is this was a 2 camera shoot with multiple timecodes and right now I almost feel like I have to start all over again.

It's only a 10 minute video but I am much more concerned about why this ever happened.

OK.

Did you try the Match Frame into Source Viewer?

What camera was used on the problem clips? (I'm wondering if you mistakenly upgraded to the Free version, and you need Studio to handle the footage.)

Great thoughts Jim. This shoot used two BMPCC 6K cameras. I do have Resolve Studio 17.2 installed.

HA. Figured it out. When I went to Match Frame I opened the Multicam clip in the timeline and when I got there I saw that somehow the "Disabled Video Clip" Icon was red. I enabled it and everything came back with no issues.

Thank you Jim for your thoughts. They really helped me keep looking for the issue.
