How to mark or remove silence parts of a clip ?

Hi everyone. I tried searching for an easy and effective way to remove silence parts of any clip in Davinci Resolve but I found nothing.

The ways I found requires the purchase of another app like timebolt, or switching back and forth between resolve, audition, after effect, audacity, olive, and more (while also switching between those apps is not easy at all)

I need to know if there is an easy free way to do that. Also if blackmagic could consider adding such feature in resolve 18 it would be really better. If their is a wish list for resolve 18 I'd definitely add this to the list.

The only way I know of is to look at the waveform and edit it.

No auto way currently. The easiest way is to work with the range selection tool, drag to highlight the silence section and hit the delete key.
The old Fairlight used to have a 'gate clip' function that was great for this, hopefully iy will return at some point.
