Timecode Entry in version 17

PostTue May 18, 2021 6:01 am

Hello Community,

I needed to update from v16 to 17 mid project this evening and I am loving v17 except for one thing I can't seem to figure out.

In previous versions I could enter timecode for easy editing and navigation. Now it seems like i either need to hit the tab key or click in the timecode field before entry. This must be a new setting that I can turn off right?

It may seem trivial but am entering a bazilion timecodes a day. I'd love to skip this new step.

Thank you in advance!

You can also click in the viewer timecode window and enter timecode from there. Otherwise, it's the "=" equals key.

The crazy part about this is my Linux machine is having the timecode entry difficulty but when I loaded the software up on a macbook pro the entry is business as usual. So strange.
