Exported Footage Looks nothing Like Timeline Footage

Exported Footage Looks nothing Like Timeline Footage

Hi All,
I recently ventured into shooting Canon Log and try my hand at grading the footage. after getting about where i wanted to be in the timeline, i exported it using .mp4 in h.265, and found it looked NOTHING at all like my timeline did. there was a TON of additional saturation. Why should there be a difference in what i'm looking at on the timeline vs what youtube displays when i upload the footage. or what any OS player plays, for that matter? Am i missing something? on top of that, an h.264 export looks different than the h.265; less saturated. there has to be something basic that i'm missing here...
also, all my export settings say "same as timeline" and my data level is set to auto. here are some screenshots:
