AAF roundtrip [Avid - DVR - Avid]

PostTue May 18, 2021 11:08 pm

Hi all,

exporting a timeline edit as AAF from Avid (MC 2021.3.0) 1V, 4A tracks in Timeline to DVR (Source: EVS XT3, OPAtom, 1V, 8ch) and then re-exporting it from DVR to Avid via preset "Avid AAF" (Audio Page: Channels: Same as Source)

Ending up with 1V
and 64 A files...

Why?

JIC:

Workaround: on Avid AAF-Export on DVR's Delivery-page

-> select Audio Channels corresponding your source, instead of "Same as source".

In our described case (with EVS XT3 OpAtom 1V, 8ch Audio) this does the trick.

Cheers.
