New HD. Resolve 16 crashing on load.

PostWed May 19, 2021 4:06 pm

So I'm very new to all of this. I'll keep it short.

1- I was using an SSD as my main drive between resolve and my camera.
2- Transferred all my files from my SSD to a bigger HD for storage and emptied the SSD.
3- Now whenever I try to open resolve 16 it crashes after showing me a glimpse of the project files manager.

I really need to edit something and now I can't launch resolve.

Please help :)

Yes Resolve 16 is on the same SSD as my OS. Not on an external. I’m working on a Mac.
After trying random things like unplugging external hubs and changing ports, I decided to open the hidden folder that contains my resolve database folder and suddenly it started working again. It makes no sense to me. It’s like the system was struggling to find/open that file and when I opened it manually in finder it stopped doing that and resolve booted normally. Any idea what could’ve caused this? Permissions glitch?
