I just recently upgraded to 17, and all was fine, but after I installed the 17.2 update, the splash screen now requires an activation key. So I dug up the activation key from the Toolfarm email/receipt, for Studio 16, (purchased about a year ago) however, 17.2 will not accept my original activation key from my purchase of Studio 16.
Exactly the same is happening to me today. I was running 17.2 Studio (Linux) perfectly happily yesterday. Today, "Please enter your licence key"... And when I do so, "There was an error when attempting to perform the activation. Please contact BMD support for assistance". [*1] This is stopping me from being able to work.
[*1] this is dark red text on a dark blue background - not very readable!
