small waveforms

PostFri May 21, 2021 10:31 am

I'm not sure if i also had this in previous versions of resolve (i'm now working in 17.2)

but this is a fully blown out waveform:

a bit expanded and with "full waveforms":

it feels very inefficient. Can i make it use the entire clip size?

Rick, you are not alone.

The problem seems to only occur with embedded audio as any other audio I add is unaffected.

ah yes, embedded seem to be the issue mostly.

I say mostly, as i did see it happen with a separate wave(music) file yesterday. one time. I re-imported it and it was showing correctly again. very weird. But the embedded audio stays "wrong".

It gives the feeling that you need to pump up the volume while it is actually very loud. I hope this is a bug, and not something by design.

I've gone back to using 17.1, where it takes a bit longer to load Resolve, but at least I can see my full wavelengths
