Transitions wont apply to audio track layers. Need advice.

Hello everyone,

I externally audio processed several clips through iZotope RX7 Connect and everything went fine. However, DaVinci did not apply the transitions that were placed on the original clip, as seen in the audio track layers.

To further explain what I mean, I attached a screenshot.

Can you tell me how I can get those transitions on the new, processed clip?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day or night! ;)

You would need to process the audio with handles.

I've never used external audio process, so I don't even know if that's possible, let alone how.

If it's not, then you may have to step back a bit. Process the audio before bringing it into Resolve and edit with that.

Each Layer is considered a unique entity and therefore separate transition effects and crossfades may be applied to individual layers.

Hi Robin,
You may already be aware of this but to insert a transition between two clips there has to be a little bit more of the outgoing end and incoming start to allow a transition to fit into. If you position the cursor between the two clips you want to add a transition to, look for the double-headed brackets. Then right-click and a drop-down menu will offer trimming of both clips at once to allow a cross dissolve to be added. If you want something other than this, add the dissolve then change it for what you want.

Thanks everyone for your replies and advice. Those rendererd clips for external audio processing all seem to have handles, that may allow to use transitions. I guess I have to do all of those transitions again... Learned a lesson on this one!
