Workaround for 17.2 Speed Editor connection issue.

PostSun May 23, 2021 9:56 am

For anyone else who makes a backup system disk image before installing any software or updates, I found a way to solve the BT speed editor connection issue introduced in the latest update. I simply rolled back to the disc image I made prior to updating DR and the speed editor (which contained DR 17.1.1) , then reinstalled just the 17.2 update by unchecking the control panels and fairlight check boxes during the install processs. The speed editor now connects and functions perfectly in 17.2.

Unfortunately if you do not have a backup image to roll back to, simply reinstalling 17.1 and reinstalling only 17.2 does not seem to work.

A system restore point may work if that is your chosen backup method.
