Screen recording is laggy - But only in edit page

I use OBS but I've set it to record mov files and at 30fps, so it's not a dropped frame rate issue.

I didn't have this issue before a few months ago it used to work fine, if I do the cuts and ripple deletes in the Fairlight tab everything is as speedy as normal so there's something funky happening in the edit tab with it

Anyone have any idea what might cause it to work fine everywhere except the edit tab?

Playback is fine it just seems to be every ripple delete can cause a stutter

Run OBS as Admin and disable Windows 10 GPU Prio thing. Whatever that is called. I forgot. Also Game Capture should give better performance than screen and window.

Thanks I'll try the GPU thing but I'm not sure what is causing this since it plays back fine in Premiere pro and I can edit with ease in there

It's for tutorial stuff so I don't think game capture mode would work sadly
