Upgrading SSD in my system

PostWed May 26, 2021 8:51 am

I'm going to upgrade SSD in my system, so I will be installing a new clean copy of Windows 10 on my new drive,

i just wanted to know any step I might be missing

backup my database in hard drive(that will not be wiped)

de-activate license on my current copy resolve 17.2 on this Windows 10

install new SSD and install Windows 10 on that

install and Activate Resolve 17.2

Backup my database !

is that all? or am i missing something ? or doing something wrong ?
it'd be very helpful if someone can point me in the right direction, because I don't want to lose my projects!

Thank You!

you could also get the resolve settings file from your appdata so you don't have to dial in all your settings by hand again.

but you should be good to go with the steps you listed.

One thing I like to do when I'm reinstalling Windows is physically disconnect all other drives in the system. Just unplug either the power or signal cables.

That makes it impossible to make a formatting mistake.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
