Delete unnecessary clips - save scene only

Hello Davinci Resolve friends. I have many GB of unneeded clips left over from a video. To free up space I want to delete them completely. Example: From a 60 seconds clip I need a 10 seconds scene. If I delete the remaining 50 seconds completely from the PC, the 10 sec. scene also disappears. How can I prevent this? Thanks for your answers.

Read about Media Management (File menu). Use subclips if you need more than one part of a longer shot.

I always recommend buying more storage if it's needed, rather than trying to "free up space".

Thank for answer. Well, this is not the problem; 10 TB hard disk.

Use Media Management, as mentioned previously. It has a lot of options. It's worth reading about it in the User Manual to understand the workflow that you require.
