R16:

I want to archive a project in best quality, so I can use later work with it also on a 2017 version of Avid Media Composer.

What is better: OP1A or OP-Atom?

An Archive will include the original media. It doesn't offer the option for transcodes.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

You may want to do a Media Management transcode. But check the results carefully, sometimes it can hiccup.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
