Davinci Resolve 17.2 render freezing

So I have a self-build PC (16G RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, 6-core AMD Ryzen CPU) running Windows 10 Pro and Davinci Resolve 17.2 Build 11.

When I try to render a video I'm editing, I get an error message saying the file format couldn't be found and after some investigation I found out I can disable the error message and the render will continue. I've made some cuts in the video where I've found some possible dead frames (Davinci will show "no device found" for those certain frames and the program will lag heavily going over them), however it seems they might be multiplying. The video is around 90 minutes long, the first dead frame was found around 20 mins in and the second was found around 85 minutes in.

However now the render will freeze at 66 minutes in and when I play the area over in Davinci, no dead frames are found.

What camera was used to film the footage?

What's your storage arrangement?

I filmed it on OBS in MKV format. I believe both the raw footage and Davinci Resolve are on my SSD

I've not had any success with OBS MKV files. I set OBS to create MP4 files automatically after recording.

MKV is one of several formats that are bad for post -- in general.

Unfortunately, OBS is recoding most reliably in that container. But re-wrapping it into .mov is fast and lossless.
