DR Studio 17.2 Stuck at "Loading Project Settings"

Hi. I have tried several recommendations from this forum. None worked. Disconnected all USB devices, clean install, loaded last working DB. I can't make it work. It was working fine until something (I can't figure it out) changed all. I would really appreciate your help.

Configutation:
Lenovo ThinkStation D30, W10 Pro (up to date), 2x Xeon 3.0 Ghz,
64 Gb main memory, SSD for OS, SSD for Resolve
Database and SSD for scratch (separate drives)
GeForce GTX1080, 8 Gb with last Studio driver with Benq 28" attached
Admin privileges on the computer used only for work.

I would really appreciate any help concerning this issue. I can't work

I had the same problem. DR worked fine until IT installed a new anti-virus software, namely SentinelOne*. I asked my IT guru to exclude the DR executable from the scanning-profile and everything went back to normal.

Michael, the exception in the AVG Antivirus was already set for the whole Davinci Resolve folder. Thanks for your help

I recommend not using any third-party security software on an editing system. Use the native Windows Security.

Thanks for your help Jim. I followed your recommendation: Uninstalled AVG Antivirus, nevertheless this not solved the issue. DR is stuck at Loading Project settings.

I would like to get some advice from Blackmagic, I placed a support request but not answers in several days. It is supposed for DR Studio users to have support but I don't see this is happening.

Still no help from Blackmagic support. I did a complete uninstall using Windows uninstaller tool and reinstalled again. First time I run it worked very fast, nevertheless, it was the only one. After closing and starting again DR now is stuck and no way to make it work no even after long time waiting. I need help to solve this issue.

This might be a Windows Update issue with the latest 2021 update that was just released. I see this hang issue in the Windows File Explorer as well as Resolve. It eventually comes back, but it takes several minutes on my system. If you didn't recently install the Windows update, or don't use Windows then something else is happening. I was able to restart Resolve many times with 17.2 but just recently it started to hang during startup. I have a laptop and connect it to various monitors in multiple configurations depending on what I'm doing, but this hasn't been an issue before. Not sure that is related but it is something I do that Resolve use to have a problem with but has since fixed.

I just had this issue. I did all the things suggested, including updating to the latest dot release but none of those things worked. I managed to get resolve to launch by rt-clicking the executable and selecting "run as administrator". It fired right up.

Running as admin fixed this problem for me too.
