Problem with Horizontal Scroll on Edit Tab

PostMon May 31, 2021 10:38 am

Hello everyone,
I've been having this issue for a few months now, and despite looking through the forums and manual, I can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Currently, when I do a two-finger horizontal scroll on the timeline in the Edit tab, the playhead moves a little. This is different from what the gesture did when I used Resolve last year, where the two-finger gesture would scroll through the actual timeline. I didn't change anything during this time that I know of - my laptop is still the same one, I didn't intentionally mess with Resolve settings etc. I played around with enabling and disabling timeline scroll, but it didn't do anything noticeable.

I'd like to be able to scroll through the timeline like I did before - I find the playhead movement too cumbersome and annoying. I know I can move through the timeline by clicking and dragging the horizontal scroll bar, but I just find the two-finger scroll to be the most comfortable option. Can anyone please let me know if this is still possible?

Thanks for any help. :) Sorry if I didn't see an obvious solution, or if I messed up the terminology or anything - I'm only an amateur, and many aspects of Resolve are still a bit complicated to me.

By the way, I'm using DaVinci Resolve 16.2.8, and the problem persisted in 17 (which I gave up on and uninstalled, going back to 16.2.8). Thanks.
