Reconform from bins with synched audio. How to?

PostMon May 31, 2021 11:24 am

Hello. I have an xml timeline from a client that has the proxy footage with original camera audio only.
In my bin I have the original full-res footage to reconform. I also synched these in the bin with sound clips that the client doesn’t have. I’m trying to reconform (conform lock is disabled) with mine and it works with the video track but not with the additional synched audio tracks. It only conforms the camera audio only. Is there a workaround or a correct way that I am missing? For now I only see as an option redoing the ins & outs of each clip manually with track destination for the synched audio. Or is there another way to replace the timeline clips with synched footage I have? Thank you

UPDATE: the reconform works also on timecode synched audio tracks by selecting the audio tracks only and then from their > Clip attributes... unmuting each individual track of interest. So they are muted by default in my case. By doing so the name visible on the timeline will be that of the original audio file and not the name of the selected track choosen in the > Clip attributes... (file.wav instead of file.wav - boom). To have it shown in the timeline just unlink from video and it will appear. Eventually relink.
Still it would be cool to have the synched audio conform option integrated in the Reconform from bins, so to add additional synched tracks in the timeline.
