Moving Project to Different Laptop But Same Resolve Version

I’ve finished my lengthy project in Resolve 16 on my current laptop, but because this laptop is fairly outdated, I believe it will give me issues during render (e.g., faulty rendering, with imperfect transitions and coloring, etc.). The playback is already very slow.
Will I have any issues loading my project on a new laptop? I am planning on downloading the same version of Resolve onto the new laptop, and then just connecting my database (which is on an external SSD drive) to the new laptop and loading it into Resolve. The new laptop is the same OS, of course (Windows). Will this present any issues, or should everything proceed the same as if I were working on my old laptop? Thank you.

All I can say is I've done that without any issues. I made sure all my paths were the same between the 2 computers. Any caches will probably need to be rebuilt.
YMMV
But, I strongly suggest you take a full backup of the project including the media.
Working from a USB drive comes with risks.

Absolutely- thank you for sharing your experience! I have the project files and database saved on two different external SSDs, just in case. I’m guessing the new laptop will assign the same drive letter to the first SSD added (E), but if not, I can just rename it or redirect the database.

You can change the drive letter in Disk Management.

I uninstalled Resolve and updated it. Now I cant find my project that I have been working on for the longest. I tried to locate it in the folders but did not see a "Support" folder in the C: Drive under Black Magic Design. Any help?

I believe you have to relink your database after reinstalling Resolve. There should be an option when you start up Resolve to connect to a database, which is where your project files and media are. Once you connect to that database, your projects should appear as before.
