Hi Resolvers,
This is a feature request.
In our agency we are juggling with about a hundred projects a year.
Our workflow is folder based on our video server. Each project has it's codename as a main folder and every elements of this project are carefully classified in that main folder.
When we finished a project, it is transfered in our archive server with just one copy paste of that folder.
We can pull out any project (Folder) and working on it again right away.
The key is really to have every file in the same encapsulating folder.
The database system BM chose is ok, I guess, if you want tu use the project server for multiuser maybe, but...
We would love if it was possible to have (in parallel?), an automatic save (Export) of the project in file form, when Resolve saves the project in database form.
When we start a new project, we could choose a location on our server drive for this "Clone" to be saved.(Like adobe premiere and other NLE)
In that way, we would be sure to have the last version of the Resolve project in our project folder.
Now, we need to think to re export all our project files by hand, and move them at the right place, and if we do a modification... not forget to do that again. Of course, we forget, and find ourself with backups that don't have the last version, and we have to search in the local database of our editors for the last one, export it, move it.... veeery cumbersome.
Are we the only one ?
Wouldn't that be great ?
