It was a very conveniently with this option in version 16.
In my case I can work with and without external (thunderbolt) GPU few times during the day and I always want Davinci to use only external GPU when it's connected (because display GPU is weaker and with both of them Davinci performance is about 20% worse than if you use only one external stronger gpu).
In v17 without this option in settings, now I have to go to settings each time I connect external GPU, and disable display gpu, then reboot Davinci and after I disconnect external GPU again I have to change the settings back to default and reboot it again. Nightmare.
Please, if possible, give us back the "Use display GPU for compute" option in global settings how it used to be in v16.
