premiere to DR xml import

I try importing a xml from PP into DR. it used to work on V16 but now on V17 no succes.
I can get all the media from the edit in the mediapool by importing the xml, however the timeline stays empty. There is a timeline with the xml symbol, but it is totally empty.
any suggestions ?
