Lost a file by drag/drop into color tab

PostSun Jun 06, 2021 5:30 am

Please help.

It is late. I accidentally dragged a video file from an explorer window into the Color tab "stills" pane. The video file disappeared from the explorer drive location and does not appear anywhere in DR.

I really need help finding that file.

Thanks for your kindness.

1. This does seem to be a bug.

2. Always go to the Media page and use the Media Storage panel for Import operations.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

This was a bug that's been addressed in Resolve 17.2.

If you are on Windows, check the Recycle Bin. The file may be there.

If it's not there, it's gone.

Ouch, that's a bad one!
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

It was fixed as soon as we were made aware of it. Bad indeed.
