I really need to, when I zoom in and out of editing space, for this thing which i have attached picture of, to allign to the left instead of middle of editing space.

Its in the middle when we zoom in and out, and I really need it to the left. It drives me crazy. :D

Middle align, as we know it.

The Playhead doesn't move when you Zoom the timeline. Nor should it.

If you want the Playhead at the start of the clip, you'll need to put it there. NLE's have a myriad of ways to do this. Snap being pretty common.

Yes playhead shouldn't move, but it should be alligned to the left. With video and audio track spaces on the left, middle is not really middle anyway. So im constantly pulled to the right of the screen while editing.

Going to the next clip on the timeline, I have to zoom out, place playhead right, zoom in or move right on timeline, and when i zoom I'm again on the "middle", akka the right of the screen, so to even fade out the same little clip Im working on, I again have to zoom, move playhead... It's like walking in wet sand, im getting nowhere. :)

This has been a problem since Davinci 12, Ive just put this into words now, thank you. Its super annoying.

We need to align to here for optimal forward workflow. Everytime zoom is used. Please BLM please

On the Edit Page, if you place your mouse over the time scale at the top of the timeline then holding down "Alt" while scrolling the mouse wheel will zoom the timeline in or out centered on where the mouse is. So if you want to zoom in to a point 1/3 along the first clip, then place your mouse over the time scale directly above that position and use Alt-Mousewheel to zoom into it.

Ahhh, I misunderstood your initial post. Sorry about that.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.

In the mean time, try View>Zoom Around Mouse Pointer. Not exactly what you're asking for, but...you might like it.
