Most likely explanation is Operator Error. Have you completed any training for Resolve?

Nope, copy paste a certain specific clip and only the audio appears.
Even when setting the timeline i/o points...

The track targets you’ve enabled are important for pasting, as is the presence or absence of an in/out range. If you haven’t set a timeline in/out, the pasted material goes to the playhead.
When you copy, everything you’ve directly selected with an orange outline should get copied. “Selection Follows Playhead” often affects this behavior.
If you don’t need to travel far, alt/option dragging a clip is often a convenient alternative to copy/paste.
The swap clips left/right commands are great for working out the order of a sequence.
But yeah, the training material and/or the manual. Resolve edit functionality goes deep.
