Parts of the full-screen graphical interface

PostFri Jun 11, 2021 8:13 am

Is it possible in Davinci Resolve to enlarge individual panels or parts of the software to full screen? For example, in Premiere (see image attach) it is possible to enlarge only the timeline to full screen (which is very useful), or to enlarge only the panel for the control of keyframes, or of the clip container only, so there is the same versatility and possibilities in Davinci?

Thank you.

Resolve's GUI does not operate that way.

The one exception is the Timeline Viewer, which can be made Fullscreen with Ctrl+F.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

If you are using dual monitors you can have one of them display a full screen timeline.

And if you undock the scopes, you can resize them. Bin windows too.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Bin windows aren’t as obvious as scopes. To break out a bin window, you have to right-click on another bin in an already open media pool view.

The full screen timeline option shuffles around the other tabs, and if you don’t like what ends up where, you can swap primary and secondary monitors.

You can also split bin windows into 2-up or 4-up.

Resolve isn’t as flexible as Premiere as far as the workspace layouts go, but let’s be honest, twiddling with layouts past a certain extent is really just procrastinating.

Sorry but Having the ability to manage the magnification of windows and software panels means having greater attention to detail and a better workflow, it is not procrastinating and even less playing.
