Subtitles and caption in DR 17

I need to have subtitles on a project I am working on. Which file format works with DR best, .srt or .ssc?
When can I get tutorials on how to implement this using DR 17? Thanks.

SRT files work OK’ish, but don’t expect too much. The subtitling capabilities in DR are not is strongest point and a dedicated software might be better.
If you search for “subtitle” around here you’ll see what I mean.
