So in another attempt to get any usable AAF out of Resolve I stumbled on yet another AAF-related bug:
In my second render attempt (first failed because of unresolved bugs) Resolve decided to export video files with handle, rather than audiofiles with handle and an AAF...
I did not change any export settings, I only changed things in the video timeline* to circumvent other bugs.
My 3rd export attempt had the same result.
After a restart and 4th attempt, it exported audio files again.
* (I did the timeline > remove layered audio to prevent missing clips, and manually deleted all audio from clips with speeds other than 100% to prevent timeline chaos)
