update 16 shared database to 17 problem with DNG image seq.

PostMon Jun 14, 2021 12:17 pm

Hello,

We have a shared database which we updated from 16 to 17.

all projects updated well except one which is a project containing only heavy DNG image sequences.

We tried everything, but there is no way to read any of the image sequences in 17.

we rolled back to 16 and we were able to play the sequences nicely.

I don't know if i can provide any elements to help you.

thanks and have a nice day.

I haven't had any issues with the cDNG clips from the original Pocket.

Can you share a short clip for others to test?

final answer after investigation as we had the same problem with another project not containing any DNG image sequences.

and It was obviously... wait for it.... a stupid plugin... filmconvert nitrate, that was blocking the whole projects.

i don't know why i didn't start from there.

version 3.03 doesn't work with 17, version 3.06 does, and it's always a pleasure to dig to those plugin sites and licences.

have a good day all ;)

That is the fatal flaw with plug-ins and why I prefer not to use them. ;)
