Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 17 - Video Missing?

PostMon Jun 14, 2021 10:20 pm

I have tried a number of times to access The Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 17 as recommended by Joe Simon. The Introduction To Editing choice does not have a video play button available. It says that the video is 45m long. Is there some other way to get that video. A project file can be downloaded which contains a number of audio and video files but that doesn't tell me what to do with them.

The book, Gord. Not the video.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

If you were recommending the book rather than a video why does it say that the video is about 45 minutes long? Was there a video at some point which has now been deleted?

The video was removed recently. I'm guessing it's about to be replaced with a new version.

But even were it available now, the book is still better. ;)

Hi,

I was following up the beginner's guide and on page 273 (Color gradient section) I have to choose mixed cameras timeline. But I notice that all the files are missing any help! please.

I’m not sure if the problem is because the files are MXF and the free version does not support them or is the window system?

Thank you,
Jack
