17.2.1 No Audio

PostTue Jun 15, 2021 1:16 am

Upgraded to 17.2.1 this afternoon and no audio.

Have watched all the videos and read all the posts I could find but no fix.

In Resolve > Preferences > Video and Audio I/O Speaker setup is set to manual with my Realtek High Definition audio selected and there are two other NVIDIA high definition options that are not connected and do not work on this computer.

In Fairlight > Patch Input/Output In the Destination drop down for Audio Outputs I have nothing to select.

Shouldn't the Realtek and NVIDIA choices show up here?

I don't have the outputs muted, the tracks have audio and the mixers are active.

Thanks for any help, I'm totally baffled

Assuming Windows since no system spec has been provided.

Is the Realtek selectable in Resolve > Preferences > Video and Audio I/O Speaker?

Are Realtek device Outputs selectable for each stem in Speaker Setup?

I've never had a problem with Realtek audio, and that includes Resolve upgrades. These are my current working settings in 17.2.1.

Charles, thank you very much for your help.
In Speaker properties, Windows was set to 24 bit 192000.
Changed it to 24 bit 48000 and unchecked the exclusive mode boxes.

Rebooted the computer

Then in Davinci > Preferences > Video I/O i was able to assign the stems to the Speakers (before the output was set to unassigned with no options in the dropdown).

Everything is working fine now.

I can post some screenshots this evening if this isn't clear.

Thanks!!
