Word 'sample' added to all titles!

I just downloaded DaVinci Resolve 17 and when I add a Title transition, the word SAMPLE is added to all the titles, and I can't seem to be able to edit and remove it. What gives??

Sounds like you are using a 3rd party transition in an unlicensed sample mode.

I have the same problem with titles as in the example of a previous user.
If I enter text using either of the 3 thirds selections i.e. Left lower third, middle lower third etc. The word SAMPLE remains and I cannot see how to delete it. The word SAMPLE can be moved and rotated by clicking on the word SAMPLE and a box with a handle appears.

Text entered using Scroll or Text selection options are ok. The word Basic Title comes on but can be deleted in the text editor.

I am a newbie and have the full Studio version 18.1.3 Build 8 with the Speed editor.
I am not using any other add-ons and just using it today to make a mixed stills slideshow including some short video clips.
Yesterday I used the Scroll title option for a 1 hour video made from over 100 short clips and apart from the learning curve everything went fine.

I was having the same problem but figured it out a few minutes after seeing this thread.

Just scroll down. There appear to be two "Rich Text" boxes. The lower one contains the word "Sample". Scroll down a bit and delete the word, and it will disappear from the video.
