Davinci Resolve Wont Start

Hi all,

First time posting and I am not super savy.

Ihave 1060 GEforce, 32gig ram I7 processsor


Davinci Resolve today would not start. I only get a blue loading circle.

I have tried these.

I have updated drivers. - nil
Rolled back Drivers. - nil
Turning off intergrated graphics - allows for the program to start but i get a black screen after loading a project. (i can right click and get prompts like a normal timeline but no timeline.
I have turned off windows defender, vpns etc.

downloaded redownloaded davinci 16 and 17. neither work.

I am at quite a loss, i tried to do the log zip file for you guys but when it saves I cant find the file on the desktop where it was apparently saved to.

Try un installing the GPU driver, and then doing a clean complete install, not upgrade, of the GPU driver

I have a GTX 1060 running with Studio driver 462.59. Intel graphics are always disabled. Windows Defender always on. No problems at all. So as Peter says, do a clean install of the driver. Also included is a pic of what the log and NFO files look like on your Desktop.

Hello admins.

My Resolve also wont start. It was working before. Then I did a clean re-installation of Windows 10. Re-installed Resolve 17. Updated NVidia Drivers. Now Resolve won't start.

I have tried all the advice I found on the forums. Nothing seems to work.

When I installed RESOLVE a message flashed up I had never seen before. It was on that black screen, like the command prompt screen. It was quick, I cant say exactly what it said, but something like "system 32 "no rules match" and also "deleting rules"

When I disabled the INTEL driver, this made a slight difference. Now the initial PROJECT MANAGER page loaded. But when I attempted to load a project, the project manager disappeared and the program never booted.

Same problem. I want to use this program. I have videos to edit. But I can't get it to run. I paid for Studio 16, haven't used it in a few years, so reinstalled and won't run. Downloaded 18 public beta, won't run. Clean installed Nvidia Studio drivers, won't run.

I don't want to have to go back to adobe, but it ran.
