Voice over in the edit page.

PostWed Jun 16, 2021 7:56 am

Hello everyone.
I can record my VO in fairlight following the preview screen fine however,, I can't see the clip coming up and it makes it hard to keep in time when having multiple clips like in tutorials that I make.
1- Am I missing something?
2- Don't seem to be able to record in the edit page anymore.
3- Anyone has a workaround for this?

I use the new Resolve 17 Studio.

Thank you for your help.

In the Fairlight page you can display the timeline video as blocks which will give you an idea of what is coming. You cannot record in the Edit page.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
That helped a lot. I see the cuts and the time stamps which is great. Can I push my luck and ask if there is a way to see what is in the boxes?
Thanks again.

Hey Ian... you can turn on the 'Video Scroller' its the button directly below the Timeline Options button (for showing the Video Tracks). Once its displayed you can right click the scroller and set the Zoom Level ... you probably want to set that to 'High'.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

Sorry, Ian, I'd forgotten about that one.
