Hi,
I'm looking for a try of Davinci Resolve on my Windows 10 32 bit computer. Can you guys tell me which version should I install.
Thanks.

I don’t recall supporting 32bit OS for a decade and certainly nothing for a W10

Even if there was a 32 bit version, video editing is very memory intensive thing to do on a computer. 32 bit memory addressing allows around 4 gigs of memory (or less depending on the OS) to be used, which for modern video editing software is just too little.

As almost every CPU released in the last 15 years supports 64 bit OS's there's really no reason not to upgrade to one. You could even install a free Linux distro that supports Resolve to be able to use and test it. But if you are limited with physical RAM, you may still have bad experience with it.

Thank you for your help. I have one last question. Has it ever supported Windows 7 32 bit. I'm wondering of myself if I could obtain a copy of the software and run it in the compatible mode in my computer. I need to sync some audio to video.

There are far simpler tools than Resolve for such a task, and likely many of them will work on 32 bit Windows 7.

You could try Hitfilm Express, there is a 32 bit version I believe.

You can use mkvmerge / mkvtoolnix to offset audio / video without even reencoding anything. Just select the audio track and enter the desired offset.

Well I have two audio files. One is the movie video original audio. The other one is the audio description track of that movie recorded by someone. It has been edited, changed speed, cut out silent segments etc so it is not in synced with the movie audio because of difference in time. I want to restore the descriptive track to it original speed and compare it to the movie audio to paste in and offset the different segments. Do you know any software to support the job, restore the audio to original speed and compare two audio for different segments and mark them out for us to see. Here are the sample audio for you to test.

Trying to use Davinci Resolve to edit audio on a downloaded episode of a TV show is massive overkill.

I would definitely recommend upgrading Windows to a 64 bit version - unless you're needing to interface with some *ancient* drivers for something (in which case a VM might do) it's weird that you'd even be using a 32-bit version.

...does your computer only have 4Gb ram?

Just update your OS to 64 bit version. As far as I know it's a matter of reinstall, just use the same product key as with your current OS.

You gain nothing by sticking with 32bit. Or at least you have not said why you still use it.

Well my notebook is in low configuration when I bought it. I bought it 6 years ago with the intention of read books and news. It's 2 in 1 notebook with 2 GB ram and 64 GB hard drive for the OS partition. Windows 8.1 comes with it then I upgrade it to the current Windows 10. I can't upgrade it to 64 bit because of no remaining disk space. I'm considering of buying a gaming laptop but I haven't collect enough money now. Maybe next few years. When I would have had my laptop, I think I would install the Adobe Premiere thing. I think it'll have all the features that I want. I have a glance at Davinci because I thought it might run on the weak notebook. By the way "speed normalizing" and "audio tracks comparing" is the features that I need for the movies audio editing. I have created a request on the Adobe website. Hope they'll roll out the features I need on next version in a few years when I would have bought my laptop. Here is the link for you to see:

Your notebook would in no way run Resolve. These are the current minimum recommended specs for running Resolve.
