Doesn’t having a 1TB drive and a 4TB drive in raid 0 limit 5 total TB to 1? Or do you have 1, 4+4? Or is it possible to combine drives of unequal sizes in RAID 0?Adam Langdon wrote:I exclusively work in Resolve, for editing and coloring.
I've been using it solely for about 4 years.
I've recently been doing a lot more coloring work and i bought a M1 Mac Mini, thinking it would suffice. But as i was adding NR and two FX, it was a slow crawl of a playback. I think i was asking the M1 to do a bit too much.
Anyway, I'm returning the M1 and purchased a second-hand Mac Pro 2019. As much as i want to A/B them, I won't have the time, but i already have some upgrades inbound.
End Specs would be:
24-Core CPU
96GB RAM
1TB + 4TB (in RAID 0) SSD drives
Two Radeon W5700X MPX Modules
I'm hoping this will last me at least 5-7 years, as I'm really getting steam and need the turnaround times to be minimum.
