I'm not sure if this is a stupid question but i've been looking for a solution to this for a while now. My current situation goes as follows: Lets say I make an adjustment clip, if duplicated on the timeline, all work independently from each other; For example, lets say I make some type of color correction to an adjustment clip and copy it in various places on the timeline, but later want to a change the color correction for every single adjustment clip, I would normally have to go and use the "middle-mouse" button feature to copy the color correction from one adjustment clip to all of the other clips in different locations.

Something that would make this less tedious would be if I could "link," in a way, all of these clips together so changes to one adjustment clip would affect another.

I noticed that I could get something similar to what I want by creating a compound clip using camera footage then deleting the footage so I have a blank slate that acts as one instance however many times you place it on the timeline in which changes to one of these clips affects all of them.

I also noticed that, in the media pool, clips with these "red bars" that I originally thought had something to do with caching follow this "one instance" principal. These clips also have a "Usage" tab when you right click them whereas the clips that work independently of each other do not.

Look into Shared Nodes.

The red bar at the bottom of the thumbnail indicates which portions of that clip are used in the currently active timeline.

Looks like that will work for color correction, awesome! is there any way to achieve this same thing with something like a fusion composition?

I'm not aware of any, but then I'm very much a Fusion beginner.
