Organizing trimmed clips from timeline

I am new to video editing and decided to start my journey with DaVinci Resolve as it was recommended to me by my friend.
I am currently doing my first project in it and am working on a file that is ripped from Panasonic VHS camera. The source file is 35 minutes long and I've watched it and split it into smaller parts (around 5-10 seconds) and have right now more or less 30 clips.
However, I'm running into an issue. It seems like I'm unable to organize the trimmed clips from the timeline and it's also impossible to import them into Media Pool. I think I've tried virtually every option and researched this forums and other online resources looking for an answer but to no avail.
I would be really grateful if somebody could guide me as it's really frustrating to work with 30 clips that I cannot quickly preview. I hope it's possible and I'm just missing something.
