Gamut Suggestions Resolve 17 & BMCC2.3

In today's Colouring class they suggested setting up the Gamut for imported Footage and using the camera model as a guide.... OH course BMCC wasn't listed. I asked the "Tech support" on the webinar and got the answer "it's a long and complex Process"... Any suggestions as to a starting point?

Maybe someone else know what you're talking about, but...I'm a bit lost. Can you expand a bit?

The log gamma and gamut of the BMCC is Blackmagic Design Film.

The video gamma/gamut is Rec709.
