Anyone else experiencing a big performance decrease (-21fps) for an Intel CPU with the new download BRAW 2.1 vs the 2.1 beta 4 version?

I think the reason is that they removed gpu decode parts in cpu decode mode (yes, it sounds weird), thus the slowdown in speedtest app. 12K ursa files were previously partially decoded with gpu because decode wasn't fully optimized for cpu instruction sets yet. This in turn created problems in some applications due to gpu memory getting filled even in cpu mode.

In BRAW SDK release notes, it is mentioned that "Added optimised CPU decoding for clips captured by Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K."

Thanks appreciated. So bottom line question Is my system playing back BRAW from BM cameras now faster or slower with 2.1? Seems very odd my cpu now only does 44 fps down from 65, and the increase for the GPU is now just 8, given the cpu has lost 21fps. Are we saying its more on the gpu now? Thanks

Cpu decode is cpu only now, as expected (if this is the actual reason, CaptainHook can hopefully confirm) and gpu is, well, gpu decode, and has gained some speed. If you decode on gpu it plays faster, if in cpu mode, slower, but it probably only applies to 12K Ursa files and maybe other new braw files (don’t know about all)
