I have a huge frustration with the cut page and speed editor functionality. Is there any way these ripple and smart insert functions can work on a track besides the bottom track 1? This is really frustrating, I have a lot of constant talking heads on track 1 that I want to cover with b-roll, but on track 2, the Trim functions aren't rippling the b-roll clips, and smart insert will extend the out point to the next clip on track 1, not 2, extending it all the way to the next speaker or edit in the current speaker's clip on track 1. Obviously it is extremely common to cover an interview with b-roll but all the "speed" of the cut page seems to not function for this kind of video. Am I missing something? I have locked track 1 and still don't have the functionality that makes so much sense to me. It makes this speed editor much less useful.

I also understand this would be the same case if I was cutting with an underlying music track? Please send help

In the Cut page only V1 has ripple. Have a look at this video from 3:15.
